KCTV Tower

Going through my list of KC places to photograph, after leaving Swope Park, I decided to head towards downtown, the Scout statue specifically, since I knew that gave some nice views of downtown, including the kind of worthless ferris wheel. And navigation just happened to take me past the KCTV Tower.

I parked across from it, in what appeared to be an employee lot for KCTV and the local PBS station, though it was Sunday afternoon and empty, so I didn't worry too much about it. It's really hard to photograph a giant radio tower near the base of it. Though with the low clouds I got some decent ominous shots.

Direct from the camera the shots were rather drab, with the orange-red of the tower barely showing up. Thankfully I was able to pull colors out and make them stand out during developing.
